The Department of Economics aims to cultivate human resources in finance and other industries who will excel in researching and analyzing the Korean and world economy. For this purpose, it offers systematic courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics and economic analysis methodology. |

Department of International Trade The Department of International Trade prepares students to take a leading position in the era of specialization and to cope with the rapidly changing economic, political and cultural environment of the world. It seeks to enhance students academic strength both in theory and practice in the fields of international trade and foreign investment. |
| The Division of Northeast Asian Economics and Commerce was launched in a bid to train international business experts in preparation for the coming era of Northeast Asia. This division launched their operation in November of 1997 under the support of the central government, the city of Incheon, and some private businesses as the University of Incheon was designated by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources as the best-performing state-sponsored institution in the field of cultivating international expert as a part of promoting specialization project of provincial universities. The division consists of studies of countries such as China, Japan, the United States, and Russia, with the curriculum focusing on regional economies and languages in correlation with a broad range of humanities and social sciences. In addition to cultivate competent international commerce experts, students are given opportunity to study their concentrated language in each-related country for 1 year. |
